PRIVATE SOCIAL FUNCTIONS
BOOKING CONDITIONS
PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING BEFORE BOOKING
1). All bookings will be at the discretion of the Executive Committee.
2). Whitchurch Tennis Club is a members club hence even during private functions any member is permitted to use the lounge and bar. Every effort is made to publicise dates of private functions.
3). For the period of May to September, private functions may not be possible due to the heavy demands on the bar and lounge from tennis and social tennis members.
4). The individual booking the club must be a fully paid up members of the club and have been a member for at least two months prior to making the booking.
5). The member must be present throughout the function, including the preparation and clearing up. Times of access to the club for each of these activities are to be arranged with the Bar Managers. The member making the booking is responsible for the care of the Clubs premises and consideration of its members and neighbours with regards to possible noise and nuisance arising from the function.
6). At the time of booking bar cover to be arranged by booking secretary. This cost will be meet by the party organiser of the event.
7). By law, the last orders are at Sunday to Thursday 11:30pm and Friday and Saturday is 12:00 midnight. There is 30 minute drinking up time allowed and the premises should be vacated 30 minutes after last orders.
8). The member booking the club will be expected to clear up after the function at a time arranged with the Bar Manager.
9). CONFIRMING YOUR BOOKING. The booking must be confirmed at least one month in advance to secure the use of the club. No responsibility will be taken for double bookings if the completed booking form and payment have not been received and acknowledged by the booking secretary.
10). At the time that the booking is conformed, two cheques made payable to Whitchurch Tennis Club will be required. One for £50 hire fee and another for the £50 refundable deposit. The one for the deposit will be returned provided the Club is left in a satisfactory state, and there have been no problems with staffing the bar, behaviour of guests or noise from the function.
